Over the last few days the Lord keeps bringing a phrase into my heart. He has been telling me that the people of God are about to rise as warriors of the cross and they shall be known as “Knights in White Linen.”
This morning as I was washing the dishes that phrase kept rolling in my heart in the form of a song. I must have sang it hundreds of times before it entered into my mind as a thought. I believe angels were singing it to me. They are excited about the prospect of the coming of these mighty ones.
I began to do some research on this phrase and came to a nice little verse in Revelations 19:14. In this passage a wonderful picture is painted of the armies of heaven following Christ into battle. It says, “The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.”
These armies have been washed in the blood of the lamb. These are the souls of the departed saints that are going to return with Christ when he invades this world and destroys the armies of darkness.
The Lord in this hour is about to send his fire upon the church. Those that are not ready may not be prepared for this fire, but it is going to consume the darkness from their lives. They are going to be touched in the core of their beings and they will rise as Knights in White Linen. They will conquer darkness in the name of the King.
You are royalty in Christ. You are undefeatable in Christ. There is nothing that can conquer you. You are more than a conqueror. You are an overcomer who will overcome every trial and difficulty that is in your life.
I often hear people talk about the trials that they are going through like they cannot overcome them. You need to know that you are not alone. Everyone goes through difficulty. Everyone has something that they are facing which they must endure and overcome. Maybe it is a health situation or a crisis in the family. Maybe it is a financial situation or your neighbour or boss is treating you harshly. Whatever the problem you have Christ is the answer.
As we allow him to wash us clean of all the stains in our hearts then we will be prepared for the new thing that God has for our lives. It is not that we do anything to make ourselves worthy. Jesus did it all on the cross.
Your job is to stand and respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. He will speak to your heart and say things like, “Perhaps it is time to stop hating your neighbour.” You will say, “Yes Lord, you are right, please forgive me.” As we respond to the issues he places before us he will set us free of many things that have been holding us down.
Just let God touch the deep places of your heart. You can feel the pain in there. Place yourself in a position to let him left every burden from your life. Lie face down in the glory and tell him you want to be changed. He will change you day by day. Just let go and let him wash away the pain of your life.
1 John 1:7 says, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”
And then there is this gem of a verse in Hebrews 9:14, “how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.”
And again in Ephesians 5:26-27, “that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.”
You are a part of this army of God that is rising. Jesus is going to cleanse every spot and wrinkle of your life. You are a Knight in White Linen. The work of Jesus on the cross is sufficient to cleanse and set you free.
I declare that every blockage that has kept you down will now be unblocked and you will be victorious in the next season. The sin that trapped you and kept you in shame and guilt will be destroyed because of what Jesus did on the cross. Get ready for your deliverance. Get ready for new freedom.
The first time I spoke in tongues I was in a Pentecostal Church. I was 16 years old and I had only heard about the gift of tongues about a month prior. I was a young teenager going to a Christian school and didn’t know much about spiritual things.
Even as a teen I was hungry for encounter. I had two or three dreams in which I saw God’s destiny for my life, but I never operated in spiritual gifts.
The pastors of that church told me that I needed the gift of tongues as evidence of the infilling of the Holy Spirit. I don’t believe that now and to be honest I never believed that only those who spoke in tongues had the Holy Spirit. I remember reading a book about Charles Finney when I was 18. He had an amazing conversion and baptism experience. When I read his account I was overwhelmed by how similar his experience of being filled with the Holy Spirit was to my own. I don’t know if Finney ever spoke in tongues.
But like Paul I am glad that I have the gift of tongues (1 Corinthians 14:18). It has helped my prayer life like nothing else.
I do believe that everyone can operate in this gift and I believe that those that do will have special times in prayer. There are days that I have found myself praying in tongues and wasn’t even aware. I can be walking in the streets praying in tongues without realizing it. Underneath the surface there is a constant whisper to heaven between my spirit and the Holy Spirit.
I love these two scriptures. 1 Corinthians 14:14 says, “If I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays and, “for we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us (Romans 8:26)."
These two scriptures have formed my understanding of prayers in tongues more than any others.
Praying in tongues is a unity between flesh and spirit. The mind may not understand what is being said but there is a perfect communion between heaven and earth. I have always imagined that my prayers in tongues have accomplished great things that I wouldn’t be able to even comprehend. I am a conduit through which the Holy Spirit prays, and every prayer that I pray accomplishes God’s objectives on earth.
God uses ordinary people like you and me to accomplish great things in the spirit. As we pray in tongues we are opening ourselves to the Holy Spirit to pray and, he understands our lives and needs much better than our own. I believe many of the deliverances and healings that come to our lives is because of this kind of prayer.
Moreover I have imagined that our prayers in tongues have been used to bring salvation of loved ones, complete strangers, cities, states and nations. God will use your prayer to accomplish great things that you can’t even imagine.
There is a great bowl in heaven filled with the prayers of all the believers (Revelations 5:8) that is carried by the 24 elders. I have imagined my prayers in tongues moving from my spirit like a light up into that bowl and being poured out as an offering before the Lord. My intercession will accomplish great things.
There is a fire that comes to me when I pray in tongues that is hard to put into words. But there are times, especially when I am fasting and praying in tongues, when this fire moves out of my chest and touches my head and is accompanied by the greatest sense of well-being and peace. It is a divine communion between God and me. It is an amazing experience.
I pray for you today that you will be filled with the Holy Spirit to overflowing and that you will begin to operate in the gifts of the Spirit as they outlined in 1 Corinthians 12-14. I pray that you will have an encounter that shifts your prayer life into a new glorious state. And may God give you dreams and visions to show you what you are accomplishing for his glory.
These are FIVE SIMPLE WAYS that I use to test a prophetic word.
1. Scripture test - while not every prophetic word that you get will correspond to a passage in scripture you must ask yourself does this word reflect the essence and purity of the word of God. i generally ask myself and God to confirm his word in my life through scripture. He always does. 2 Timothy 3:16 says, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness."
2. What do my mentors say - if I get a specific word about a life direction I would never follow it unless the people that I am in relationship with are in agreement with its direction. Not everyone is going to agree with what you do in life, but there are those that God will put into your life that he will use to confirm his direction. I never make a big decision without speaking to people I am in relationship with. Wisdom comes from a multitude of counselors (Proverbs 15:12).
3. The Peace of God test - One of the main questions that I ask myself is does this word produce the peace of God in my heart. I have found that even when God corrects me or rebukes me that when I come into agreement with that word in produces the peace of Christ in my heart. Colossians 3:15 says, "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful."
4. Does the Word Confirm things in my heart - Not that it always has to but I often find that when I encounter a prophetic word from God I have already been hearing God speak that word to me in other ways. Even Paul when confronted with the word about how he would be in chains in Jerusalem knew that he still had to go there because God had already spoken it to his heart (Acts 21:11). Many times for me a prophetic word just confirms what I already sense and know inside.
5. Is it from the right spirit - 1 Corinthians 14:3 is the acid test for me regarding prophetic words. in this passage it says that a prophetic word is to build up, comfort, console and strengthen. I had someone come to me once and prophesy that my intestines were dying and that my wife might drop dead. I told them flat out that this was not a word from God. God doesn't speak death and destruction. Even in the valley of dry bones God saw life and not death. When I see sorrow in a heart I speak joy and life. When I see sickness in a body I speak healing. So don't receive death words over your life and future. Jesus came to give life and life abundantly.

In a number of dreams over the last month I have seen how God wants to use women to bring in the end time harvest of the Lord. In the first dream I saw how God wanted to start a revival in a major city in America, but it was stopped because the leaders of that city could not recognize the package that God wanted to use.
In that dream I saw the Holy Spirit begin to rise on a young woman. She was given the mic to begin to speak and prophesy but as she started to manifest under the power of the Holy Spirit the leaders were not comfortable, because they thought she was of the flesh, so they took the mic away from her. She literally ran toward me crying and saying, “You don’t understand they just stopped revival from coming to this great city.” I consoled her and said, “I do understand, this has also happened to me in the past.”
I want you to consider this dream for a moment. I wonder how many revivals in the earth have been stopped before they could even happen. How many souls have been lost as a result?
When I was young I heard a story in Halifax, Nova Scotia. There was a revival preacher in the early 1900’s that was seeing great results as he preached around Atlantic Canada. As he neared Nova Scotia, the leaders of the church put a stop to him coming in. They were not happy with the message he was preaching and the way he was preaching it. As a result the revival he was a part of didn’t come into that land.
The truth is we don’t always like the packages that God wants to use to bring in revival. I know of churches in my own region that would never consider that revival could move anywhere other than inside their doors, but inside their churches the Holy Spirit is not allowed to move. I won’t pretend to understand why they stop God from moving. Perhaps they have been hurt in the past. Perhaps they have seen it all before. Whatever the reason is will not be good enough in the end when they have to give account.
And some of the wildest packages that God will use in this hour for revival will be women.
General William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, is known to have said, "Some of my best men are women!” I remember when I was young hearing his granddaughter speak in Newfoundland, Canada. The church was filled with people wanting to hear this woman’s stories of her grandfather. It was thrilling to hear her. There was a soaring in the spirit that day.
In another recent dream I saw 1 Kings 2:19. I want you to consider the picture that is being painted in this passage. Bathsheba approaches her son the king to intercede on behalf of another son. When she comes into the throne room where her son is seated he greets her by standing. He then has a throne brought to her so that she can sit in the presence of the King. This is a picture of the authority this woman had with her son.
I feel that this is a picture of what God wants to do with women in this hour. I believe that that women are about to be granted an authority to sit in the presence of the King to intercede on behalf of others, but be careful what you ask for. As you see in this passage Bathsheba didn’t request a thing that was pleasing to the King and as a result something terrible happened.
Women who will sit in the presence of the King seeking his voice and pleasure will become like the salt that was thrown into the waters of Jericho. In 2 Kings 2:19-22 Elisha was in Jericho where he was staying after Elijah was brought up into heaven in a chariot. One of the first miracles that he performed was throwing salt from a new bowl into the waters of Jericho which purified them for generations.
For me the bowl represents the vessels that God uses to pray and intercede and what is inside of them is the power of the Holy Spirit to change things.
This passage in 2 Kings reminds me of the image that is painted in the book of Revelations 5:8 which says, “…the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God's people.”
This is a picture of the power of intercession that I believe is rising in the hearts of women in this hour. God is going to use them to purify the impure waters of towns. Their prayers are going to be so powerful that towns, cities and indeed entire regions will be shifted into purity for generations. God has ordained a season for the church. This is the hour of the Army of God rising. He is going to use ordinary people to do extraordinary things for his glory because he can.
This is a picture of warfare in the spirit. I declare that women will even have mighty dreams and visions of the conflict that is taking place. They will see by the Holy Spirit the battle and they will be a part of it, inflicting great devastation and harm on the plans of the enemy in this hour. We must always remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers, rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12).
Your prayer has the power to shift atmospheres and bring in the glory of God. I declare that you shall be an instrument yielded and wielded in the hands of the King to produce a new sound that will change nations.
All this shall be bathed in the love of Jesus. The nurturing hearts of women shall perform miracles, healing and deliverances as they are filled with the love of Christ. They shall prophesy and they shall walk in the gifts of the spirit. They will become the mothers, daughters and sisters that the earth has been groaning for since the beginning of creation.
I pray for you today that God would open you up to new levels of glory. I ask the Lord to move you into a greater understanding of his love and his grace. I pray that the revelation of the King will fill your heart so that your prayers will be powerful and effective, and may the blessing of our God overlap and fill you completely.
